In order to accomplish the aforementioned goals, EDF has continuously provided scholarships and implemented various development projects since 1987. These efforts have ensured that impoverished rural children completed at least basic education and equipped themselves with tools for a better quality of life. With solid cooperation and active support from the public and private sectors in all areas we operate, the EDF Scholarship Program has benefited 406,560 children from over 5,700 rural Thai schools to date.
EDF’s main objectives are:
1. To grant scholarships to a variety groups of less fortunate children in Thailand through its scholarship provision in different programs.
2. To promote and develop children’s and youth’s self-confidence and career skills so they can be self-reliant and better support their families and communities.
3. To promote international understanding, educational assistance and culture between countries.
4. EDF is a public charity organization and not involved or engaged in any political issues.
EDF’s objective is to initiate solid programs that promotes children education, as well as developmental projects for needy children, youths and the people.
