Library Project
The libraries in many rural schools are equipped with old, outdated books, magazines, reports and manuals.  Rather than inspire a love of reading, they put children off the task and starve their imagination.  Sometimes libraries completely lose their role and potential and are simply used as storage spaces.  EDF’s Library Project strives to create effective library spaces in rural schools to inspire life-long learning beyond the classroom.

EDF is helping by:
  • Allocating funds and overseeing the construction and renovation of libraries and pays for new books and other materials
  • Organizing fun activities that inspire a love of reading and life-long learning
