American Women's Club of Thailand (AWC) in Cooperation with EDF Held AWC English Camp
American Women’s Club of Thailand (AWC) held AWC English Camp for AWC scholarship recipients during January 25-27, 2013 at Hansa Sujit Wittaya in Supan Buri. The camp participants include 101 students and 20 teachers from 12 schools and 55 volunteers. The main objective is to improve the AWC scholarship recipients’ English skills. Apart from the ice-breaking activities conducted in the first day, the camp activities were divided into 7 activities, including Shopping, Quiz Game, Spelling Bee, Information Literacy, Conversation Cubic, Just Say It, and Camplish Tunes.
Each group of students will attend each activity in rotation.  EDF, as a partner of AWC in the scholarship management, set up a workshop for teachers responsible for scholarship management to notify them 2013 EDF policies pertaining scholarship provision, provided them guidance on the appropriate practices on scholarship management, and trained them on the usage of EDF Online Application so that they are capable to apply for the AWC scholarship and submit students’ document online. Additionally, EDF observed the AWC camp organizing so that we can assist AWC to organize English Camp in the future.
