From January 17 to 29, 2011, EDF followed up the progresses of the 1st Phase of farming for lunch projects under the Barter Between Brothers project (BBB). In 2011, 16 schools in the four provinces of Sakon Nakhon, Ubon Ratchathani, Buriram, and Maha Sarakham, are chosen the 2nd generation to be sponsored with BBB project budget to run their school projects aiming at farm produce for supplying lunch programs. |

The two-week monitoring trip witnessed good cooperation of the students, helping the school to farm vegetables or breed animals, under the close supervision of the teachers responsible. To date, students at some of the schools could gather farm produce like mushroom, water spinach, Chinese kale, catfish, for food supply. The students reported to have gained more skills in farming, working as a team, or even that they could make the most use out of the time they spent daily.
