Grade 7, Surin Province GPA 3.51
Applicant for EDF Scholarship for High Achieving But Underprivileged Lower Secondary Students, Academic Year 2026

“After my parents divorced, my mother became the only person working to support me and my two older brothers so we could continue our education. No matter how hard and tiring her work is, she never complains or gives up. I dream of becoming a veterinarian because I love animals and want to help sick and injured animals have a better life again.”
After my parents divorced, my mother became the sole breadwinner of the family. She works very hard to support me and my two older brothers so that we can continue our education. No matter how exhausting her work is, she has never complained or shown any sign of giving up in front of us.

That is why I always try to help my mother with household chores as much as I can, to ease her burden. I also study as hard as possible because I know that education is the key to creating a better future for my family.

After her parents divorced, Plawan’s mother became the family’s sole provider, working hard to support Plawan and her two older brothers so they could continue their education.

I am currently studying in Grade 7 in Surin Province and have achieved a GPA of 3.51. My favorite subject is English because learning a new language helps broaden my world and opens up new opportunities for me. I also enjoy doing science experiments because they allow me to discover answers and learn new things all the time.

Another thing I truly love is animals.
Whenever I see sick or abandoned animals, I always want to help them. This is why I dream of becoming a veterinarian in the future — so I can care for and help animals that need a chance for a better life.

Despite her family’s financial hardships, Plawan remains determined to study hard and has achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.51. She also dreams of continuing her education to become a veterinarian in the future.

However, due to my family’s financial difficulties, educational expenses remain a heavy burden for us. Receiving a scholarship would be a great source of hope, allowing me to continue my education and move closer to achieving my dream.

“I promise to study hard and make the most of every opportunity I receive, so that one day I can take care of my family and help animals that have no one to care for them, just as I have always dreamed.”
